Job Overview
As a Trailer Mechanic at Kreilkamp Trucking, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various components of trailers and heavy-duty vehicles used for hauling large goods. You will use specialized tools and your technical expertise to ensure our equipment is safe, reliable, and in optimal condition.
SHIFT: 3rd – 10PM to 6:30AM

Key Responsibilities
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Use specialized tools such as welding torches, jacks, hoists, wrenches, and more to perform repairs and maintenance on trailers and other heavy-duty vehicles.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Diagnose and repair air brakes, tires, suspension, electrical systems, lights, mobile AC refrigeration, and other components.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Communicate timelines for repair completion to ensure prompt and efficient service.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Order parts as needed in a cost-effective manner.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Collaborate with the Shop Coordinator to ensure efficient completion of repairs and maintenance.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Perform preventive maintenance and routine technical repairs.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Ensure the work area is clean and organized.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Use appropriate personal protective equipment during all repair and maintenance tasks.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Complete repair orders and enter data accurately into the computer system.

Qualifications and Experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽HSED/GED or equivalent required.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Certification from a one- or two-year program in mechanics is advantageous.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Valid driver鈥檚 license required; CDL A or B is preferred.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Must have own tools. There is a $400 yearly tool allowance.聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Computer and diagnostic skills are required.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Effective written and oral communication skills are essential.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Basic mathematical skills with the ability to make accurate arithmetic calculations.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Ability to read and understand operating procedures and technical information.
