Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Finance Specialist to join our team at StarPlus Energy. The Procurement Finance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring SPE procurement activities align with KPIs and financial goals and support process definition and alignment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our EV battery manufacturing operations and support our mission of sustainable e-mobility.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of purchasing finance processes, analytics, and reports while ensuring adherence to established procedures and policies.
- Act as the intermediary between Purchasing Operations and finance functions (e.g., Controlling, Accounting, and Treasury) facilitating communication and collaboration.
- Lead initiatives like Technical Cost Reduction and Commercial Cost Management to track variable cost savings, manage budgets, and optimize costs by product.
- Identify financially distressed suppliers, collaborating with various departments to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Extract and analyze data from systems like SAP using tools like Qlik Sense to generate management reports, track KPIs, and support decision-making.
- Conduct global trend analyses on raw materials, explain variances, and support the preparation of annual budgets and savings objectives
Qualifications:
Basic:
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
- Minimum 10 years of Purchasing, Cost Accounting, or Finance
- Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Econ, Business, or Accounting
- SAP/ERP/Qlink experience
- Good presentation skills and strong analytical skills
- Advance Excel and Microsoft tools
- High level of enthusiasm and creativity
- Startup dynamics
- Prior supervisory and leadership experience
- Ability to multi-task and adapt easily to change, including prioritization of assignments
Preferred:
- Detail oriented and able to manage large volumes of data
- Good presentation skills and strong analytical skills
- High level of enthusiasm and creativity
- Performing sensitivity analysis as requested to help decision makers frame the alternatives under changing business scenarios
- Experience with a manufacturing companies’ financial and operating processes and procedures
- Ability to interact cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement, Quality, Operations and other departments
Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
