Respiratory Therapy
The Respiratory Therapist will:
- Perform therapeutic procedures and diagnostic tests as appropriate to the ages of the patient’s growth and development through the life cycle factors.
- Initiate, maintain, and monitor all lifesaving devices.
- Respond to all emergent patient care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved one (1) year Program in Respiratory Therapy.
- Licensed by the State of New Jersey Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Demonstrated competency in all procedures within scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served; the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs; a knowledge of growth and development and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
- Demonstrated competency in the care and treatment of the following age groups: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric.
- BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) obtained within 30 days of start date.
- Registered Respiratory Care Practitioners trained and assigned to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on a regular basis is required to obtain the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
$10,000 sign on bonus for full-time positions, $5,000 for part-time positions!
