POSITION SUMMARY
To safely transport patients to and from Radiology by following all safety protocols/processes. To ensure the safe and timely transportation of patients to and from the Radiology Department.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education / Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent
BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
Workplace Experience:
None required. Will train.
Equipment and Skills Training:
On job training, safe techniques for handling stretchers, wheelchairs, and I.V. poles. Ability to use oxygen tanks for transporting patients. Maintains CPR certification.
Physical Environment:
Hospital setting, patient testing areas
Physical Effort:
Efficient oral and written communication
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping and lifting (50lbs)
Ability to transport patients in wheelchairs or stretcher up to 250 lbs. dependently and independently
Exercises good judgment
