Provides and documents ADL care to includes, passing water bed baths, shower, and oral hygiene, changing bed linens both unoccupied and occupied beds, cleaning overhead tables, straightening room snacks and other general care as needed.
Provides and documents evening care to include: passing water back rub if necessary, bed baths, shower, oral hygiene, changing bed linens both unoccupied and occupied beds, cleaning overhead tables, straightening room evening snacks and other general care as needed.
Provides general nursing care such as positioning, transfers to chair or stretcher, lifting and turning patients, specialized equipment, bedpan, commode chair and ambulating patients adhering to best practice and under the scope of the registered nurse’s instruction.
Answers call lights, anticipates patient needs, and provides hourly rounding and bedside shift report with handoffs.
Demonstrates the ability to perform procedures, ex; glucose monitoring, within the Certified Nursing Assistant’s scope of practice.
Reports complaints about pain immediately to licensed personnel.
Reports deviations of vital signs from normal as appropriate.
Observes patients mental and physical conditions, reports change immediately to licensed personnel.
