Job Summary:

Job Description Summary
The Manager, State Tax will be responsible for all aspects of CF’s state tax return filings and state and local audits and will assist with CF’s state income tax provision. This role will be involved in tax law analysis and planning. This role will work across the tax function to lead the Company’s state tax efforts.

Internal Controls:

Establishes and implements processes and procedures to meet departmental internal controls requirements.  Ensures that established processes/procedures are followed as designed.  Works with internal controls department to identify deficiencies in existing processes/procedures, the need for new ones, and the extent to which such processes/procedures are being followed.  Develops and implements corrective actions with regard to department internal controls as necessary.

Position Scope/Contribution:

This role routinely interacts with internal and external constituents and represents CF’s Tax Department.  Occasionally, travel to various Company facilities and professional education/training programs may be required. 

Management of the tax staff requires coordination of major responsibilities of the group. Time constraints can be demanding and require significant planning, organizing, directing of people, events, and resources.
