Job Overview:

The Finance Manager reports directly to the Administrative Director to oversee the medical billing process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The Finance Manager should provide key insight into the revenue cycle.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years progressive management experience in a hospital service or multi-physician’s office practice.
  • Strong computer skills, including PC-based and mainframe systems.
  • Experience in process management and reorganization. Substantive experience in practice management, billing, coding, supervision, training of personnel and management may be considered.
  • Data and reporting management skills.

Preferred:

  • Thorough knowledge of oncology practice operations including patient flow, billing, insurance etc.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Healthcare related field is preferred.
  • Prior EPIC EMR experience is highly preferred.

Certification/License

  • Medical Billing/Coding certification is preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-time, Day

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement finance strategies to optimize revenue and manage any denial trend.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including physicians, pharmacy, administrators and executives to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • The Finance Manager will ultimately serve as a bridge between healthcare providers and insurance companies as well as patients.
  • Additionally, the Finance Manager will provide leadership and guidance to all finance and the Patient Access team, ensuring accurate and efficient patient registration, insurance verification, and billing processes, while coordinating between finance and operational teams to improve patient experience and financial outcomes.
  • The finance manager will manage all components of work queues through the electronic EMR system EPIC.
