JOB SUMMARY:
This team member will work to develop, implement, maintain, and facilitate key functions of UVMHN’s IT Risk and Resilience Program, with a focus on IT Resilience. The core objective for this person is to develop organizational programs and capabilities to facilitate the successful and appropriate response, recovery, and restoration of services following a disruption event, through the identification of critical business and clinical functions, development of continuity and recovery plans, coordination of people efforts, and ongoing testing and program maintenance. This includes the following key functional areas:Â

IT Operations continuity planning and solution developmentÂ
Coordination of joint hospital & IT command centers and communicationsÂ
Business impact analysis planning and executionÂ
Supporting business continuity and downtime planning and development effortsÂ
IT service availability planningÂ
Disaster recovery planning (IT focused)Â
Cyber recovery planningÂ
Data restoration planningÂ

Additionally, this position is responsible for coordinating efforts with related programs and stakeholders including:Â
Supplier & third-party risk and contingency managementÂ
Crisis & emergency managementÂ
Â
This role requires an experienced individual with skills such as strategic thinking, excellent communications, persuasion capability, and a strong willingness to learn and collaborate. The successful team member will be able to translate strategy into measurable and effective action-oriented processes and programs, and effectively link the IT Risk and Resilience activities to business operations and objectives. Â
Previous experience in IT resilience, emergency management, or business continuity operations is preferred.Â
Previous experience in healthcare is preferred.Â
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science or Information Systems or commensurate experience.
EXPERIENCE:
7 or more years of experience in an Information Security or Information Technology role.
