RWJBH is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Manager for our Renal (Kidney/Pancreas) Transplant Center at our New Brunswick campus.

Job Overview:

Responsible for the daily operations and clinical resource for transplant evaluations, waitlist management and post-transplant care.

Makes procedural or process suggestions for achieving team goals or performing team functions; provides necessary resources or helps to remove obstacles to team accomplishments.

Assists in the care coordination of the acutely ill transplant patient to facilitate communication with the transplant surgeon and other consultants as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing plus 5 years of experience in an allied health or hospital position required.

Relevant clinical experience with end stage renal disease patients or renal/pancreas transplant patients. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a less structured environment than the inpatient setting

Preferred:

Master’s degree in healthcare related field and at least 2 years’ experience in transplant

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of New Jersey
  • CCTC Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Monday Friday
  • Hours: 8:00AM 4:00PM
  • Full Time
  • Must be available for On Call Coverage

Essential Functions:

In collaboration with the Transplant Division management team responsibilities include development and modification of clinical and administrative policies/procedures, oversight of all clinical and administrative aspects of patient evaluation, care, and management to ensure continuity of care, quality and patient satisfaction including supervision of RNs -Nurse Coordinators,

Ensures department’s standard of practice, policies and procedures meet compliance with UNOS, OPTN, TJC, and CMS,

Analyzes pertinent data, communicates findings, documents information and assumes accountability for decisions and actions,

Main responsibilities include managing a group of employees that deliver shared support services across the Transplant Program; establishing workflows/processes which are aligned with program policies; and managing objectives and key performance metrics,
