Job Summary:
The primary role of the Athletic Trainer is to provide services including prevention, diagnosis, and management of injuries/illnesses within the AT scope of practice to area schools, colleges, professional organizations and/or other community partners. Responsibilities include development/implementation of Emergency Action Plans, coordination of event medical coverage, communication plans, documentation of care plans, and assists department leadership to ensure appropriate supplies and support are available.
The Athletic Trainer may also function as a physician extender, supporting patient care in our sports medicine physician office settings. The Athletic Trainer may also assist with treatment of patients in the clinical outpatient setting.
Will also assist with system initiatives such as marketing efforts, community benefits reporting, research projects, community education, and other strategic initiatives as appropriate.
