Position Summary:
Under general direction of the National Business Development Manager – China, and Sales Support Team Leader, this position will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Business Development team. You will be responsible for the effectiveness and productivity of the Sales & Marketing team.
In consultation with Business Development Managers, prepare quotations for clients in a timely and professional manner
Oversee the end to end management of marketing campaigns to ensure their smooth and effective function
Maintain records of sales targets and confirmed sales, and provide detailed reports to the National Business Development Manager – China
The role involves integrating financial, shipment, quality, and operational data in an insightful way to drive deep understanding of our customers and how to serve them and developing tools and processes to support efficient Sales and Marketing operations
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with cross functional teams, have an interest in Sales & Marketing, and the drive to always think strategically
To assist & support BD Managers with sales and marketing campaigns and qualification of all internal and external lead sources
Responsibilities:
Sales Support Services:
In consultation with Business Development Team, prepare quotations for clients in a timely and professional manner
Prepare tenders, service level agreements and standard operating procedures for new or existing World Courier clients to ensure robust expectations are set and practices established to guide future partnership activities
Manage all lead generation activities provided by internal World Courier teams with a view to securing future business for the organisation
Track and report on overall Business Development KPIs
Reports and Statistics:
Maintain records of sales targets, confirmed sales, and provide weekly and monthly detailed reports as required
Provide tailored reports for key clients ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Sales Analysis:
Maintaining Sales Force data systems, including account set up and monthly reports
To conduct market research in industries/sectors that are of interest to World Courier within & out of existing business portfolio for continued business growth desired
To provide support in identify appropriate marketing measurements/opportunities, such as advertising to secure leads and increase overall brand awareness
Any other relevant duties as required by your manager
Teamwork and Collaboration:
Contribute to team and organisational wide discussions by sharing ideas, experiences and recommendations around improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the business
Effectively collaborate with team members to ensure that the function is operating effectively and efficiently, while maintaining an efficient support network for the team
Managing remote business relationships and supporting Business Development Managers during periods of travel/on road sales

Requirements:
2 to 3 years of sales and marketing experience in a related industry – air-express (preferred)
Sound experience in a customer service or administrative role
Advanced experience in Sales Force/CRM software
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Ability to build strong relationships with a range of diverse stakeholders
Sound experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Basic knowledge of distribution and logistics concepts
Establishes a quick rapport with colleagues and customers; generates credibility and trust by way of attentive, empathic and honest communication with colleagues and customers
Proactively keeps up to date with knowledge of the company, its markets, customers and their needs and requirements, services and products including technical aspects
