What Will I be Doing?

The Sr Manager Application Development is responsible for the enhancement and continuous improvement of business-critical applications. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, always seeking ways to elevate systems and processes. This role involves establishing forward-thinking processes, enforcing policies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to deliver high-impact solutions. The Senior Manager, Development will champion innovation and drive improvements to ensure stability and optimal performance of supported applications. You are responsible for driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Brings a strong technical background with a deep understanding of both UI and backend development, staying fully informed of the latest technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and best practices within the team.
  • Provides technical leadership to the Web and UI team, driving the enhancement and optimization of HGV applications and services
  • Translates business requirements and functional specifications into technical specifications and ensure that implementations meet specifications and quality standards
  • Implements core components with software development best practices
  • Holds design and code reviews
  • Prioritizes Defect backlog, plan, and deploy solutions to defects and problems and apply fixes as necessary (planned and ad-hoc) across ITG applications
  • resources and putting solutions in place on an expedited basis
  • Improves functioning by automating manual processes
  • Other responsibilities and projects as business and department needs arise
Qualifications

To fulfill this role successfully, the individual should possess the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:

  • 10-15 years related experience
  • 5+ years supervisory experience
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure and database systems
  • Good understanding of Angular, MVC, Web API
  • Proficiency in SQL, Web Technologies, Microsoft Azure, IIS
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Occasional travel
