JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Audiology Department at Fanny Allen campus is part of the outpatient Rehabilitation Therapies Department within the University of Vermont Medical Center. The fully staffed team includes four Audiologists, two Audiology Assistants and scheduling support staff.Â
The clinical Audiologist position involves providing diagnostic audiologic evaluations as well as hearing aid services for patients of all ages. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively for collaboration with other departments and referral sources as well as to document effectively in the electronic medical record system.Â
EDUCATION:
Master’s Degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology. Must have either a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA) or have American Board of Audiology (ABA) Certification. Must possess or be eligible for current state licensure in Audiology. Certifications must be maintained throughout tenure.
EXPERIENCE:
Some experience in a medical/hospital setting preferred.
Pediatric experience is preferred.
Hearing aid experience is required. Â
