RSM is looking for an Assurance Manager to join our Private Client Services team. You will have the opportunity to work as a team member on diverse client engagements as part of our national practice. Our clients include local, national and internationally recognized companies. RSM’s assurance professionals helping companies improve their performance through the most challenging business cycles.
Responsibilities:
Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating of review engagements and compilations of financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables (including corporate income tax, personal income tax and trust income tax compliance).
Assess risk along with design and communicate procedures to engagement teamsÂ
Understand and utilize RSM’s review, compilation, and audit methodology
Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staffÂ
Understand skillsets and capabilities of Senior Associates and Supervisors and monitor and review work product that they prepare and report on performance while articulating coaching notes throughout the processÂ
Supervise engagement teams and function as an in-charge facilitating field work by monitoring and reporting regarding productivity and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignmentÂ
Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand impact of significant developments in client’s business and assess impact on current year engagementsÂ
Develop others within the Firm through facilitating levels based or industry training, advising on career development or participating in other Firm initiativesÂ
Subscribe to and actively read industry publications and share relevant information with clients as considered applicableÂ
Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they ariseÂ
Understand RSM’s lines of businesses, availability of services and where applicable, discuss with client management of opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the firmÂ
Develop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growthÂ
Manage profitability of projectsÂ
Identify and communicate accounting and engagement matters to Senior Managers and PartnersÂ
Identify performance improvement opportunitiesÂ
Ensure professional development through ongoing education Â
Keep abreast of latest developments as they affect GAAP and the Firm’s standards and policiesÂ
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university
Active CPA designation in good standingÂ
5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environmentÂ
Experience leading teams and mentoring associatesÂ
Understanding of compilation, review, audit and tax services with knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationshipsÂ
Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagementsÂ
Preferred Qualifications:
A successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagement

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $78,000 – $132,500
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
