Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performs professionalrole functions in accordance with scope of practice and professional standards,including demonstrating the knowledge and ability to use and/or lead the scopeof practice, professional standards and accreditation / regulatory standards,scope of practice for LVN and all other nursing personnel e.g. unlicensedassistive personnel. The RN demonstrates the ability to assess their ownprofessional role performance, current knowledge of theory and principlesrelated to discipline specific practice, and the ability to use a populationbased approach to determine patient needs.
Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation.
Required Licensure/Certifications:Â
1. Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurserequired.
2. Current CPR (AHA) certification required.
3. ACLS (AHA) certification required within 3 months of hire; 6 months if a New Grad RN.
4. Current NIHSS certificate required within 6 months of hire.
