Compressor Technician – Charlotte, NC
OTC Industrial Technologies is looking for a Compressor Technician to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina!
As a Compressor/Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and completing routine maintenance on air compressors, pumps, gearboxes and related rotating equipment.
What You’ll Do:
- Repair, overhaul, and perform regular maintenance on air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, etc.
- Thoroughly diagnose issues and suggest improvements for better performance.
- Ensure repaired compressors meet standards through testing and quality control.
- Keep meticulous records of work done, parts used, and other relevant details.
- Track down replacement parts promptly when needed.
- Stick to safety guidelines and industry norms for a secure work setting.
- Keep clients in the loop about repair progress, provide estimates and address their concerns.
- Will have some travel out of state.
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent, preference for vocational maintenance training.
- 1+ years of air compressor maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
- Safety-conscious, technically savvy, detail-driven, and top-notch customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record, ability to pass drug tests including DISA, and background checks.
- Can work alone or as part of a team, ready for on-call duty and overtime as needed.
